CyberPowerPC Slashes Prices on RTX 50-Series Founders Edition Gaming Rigs at Walmart
The system builder is offering five pre-configured gaming PCs equipped with Nvidia's hard-to-find Founders Edition GPUs at steep discounts during Walmart's Nvidia GeForce Week promotion.
Nvidia Founders Edition graphics cards typically remain scarce in the retail market, with availability restricted to designated sales channels. CyberPowerPC has managed to secure inventory of these sought-after GPUs and is now selling them inside complete gaming systems through Walmart. The promotion runs through September 27 as part of the retailer's Nvidia GeForce Week event, with price reductions ranging from $580 to over $1,300 per system. Availability appears limited, and stock depletion may occur quickly.
Nvidia has employed selective distribution strategies for its Founders Edition cards, including pop-up retail locations at QuakeCon 2026 and PAX West in Seattle earlier this month. The company operates what it calls "Verified Priority Access IRL" retail experiences, restricting purchases to individual consumers and pricing cards at manufacturer's suggested retail price to combat resale market inflation. This program debuted with the RTX 4090 FE and has returned with the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 launches.
The substantial markdowns suggest CyberPowerPC obtained these Founders Edition GPUs at MSRP and is passing savings to customers. The RTX 5070 FE configuration with an Intel i7-14700KF carries a regular price of $2,139.99 but sells for $1,549.00—a $590.99 reduction. The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D variant normally priced at $2,179.99 is available at $1,599.00, representing a $580.99 discount.
RTX 5080 FE systems offer even larger savings. The AMD Ryzen 7 configuration drops from $2,979.99 to $2,299.00, saving $680.99, while the Intel Core Ultra 9 model falls from $3,149.99 to $2,399.00—a $750.99 reduction. The RTX 5090 FE pre-built, normally $5,649.99, is marked down to $4,299.00 for a $1,350.99 savings.
These pricing levels provide competitive value relative to standalone GPU costs. According to Tom's Hardware GPU Price Tracker, the least expensive RTX 5090 available is the Asus TUF Gaming RTX 5090 at $6,699.00 on Amazon, making the entire CyberPowerPC system cheaper than that single component. While RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 cards can be purchased separately at lower prices, these bundles include modern processors, power supplies, and storage—among the market's most expensive components. All systems feature 32GB of DDR5 RAM and either 1TB or 2TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage. Rapid sell-through appears likely given current demand.
