Zotac Refuses Warranty Claim on RTX 3060 in India Despite Three-Year Coverage
A graphics card owner in Delhi says Zotac denied warranty support just over a year after purchase, citing an import date that predated the sale.

Zotac has become embroiled in another warranty dispute, this time involving an RTX 3060 buyer in India whose claim was rejected despite appearing to fall within the manufacturer's coverage window. The customer, identified as Reddit user u/AbhishekG9, bought a Zotac GeForce RTX 3060 Twin Edge from KVR Gaming System in Nehru Place, Delhi, on June 27, 2025. In India, Zotac extends three years of standard warranty coverage to owners of RTX 30-series and newer graphics cards, with the option to add two additional years through product registration.
The buyer completed the registration process and received an automatically generated confirmation from Zotac on July 2, 2025. When they later contacted Zotac seeking warranty service for an unspecified issue, the company informed them the card had already expired from coverage. Zotac's response cited the card's serial number, which the company said indicated an import date of April 2023—months before the actual purchase. The manufacturer stated that warranty eligibility can be calculated from either the original purchase date or the distributor's import date, and that registering the product alone does not guarantee warranty protection.
